早年Kate St.John在梦幻流行组合the Dream Academy中曾以萨克司，双簧等管乐而独树一帜，这方面的功底还让她多次在爱尔兰民谣大师Van Morrison的专辑制作班底中拥有一席之地。不过这段历程中她并没有机会展示完全属于自己的音乐。直到首张专辑《Indescribable Night》给人带来的震惊。

Kate St. John的声音也许最适合在傍晚到深夜这段时间悉心倾听，所有的曲子都似乎与一个甜美清凉之夜浑然天成，浓密的欧陆浪漫风情更与时下街头喧嚣的流行音乐格格不入。难怪台湾引进版本的这张唱片直接把专辑名字改成了《Paris Skies巴黎天空》，浪漫之都的天空令人迷醉，想必心有戚戚者相视不语，自会其中之意。
